Three reasons why people commit suicide according to “Dr. George Ritchie's Three Classifications of Suicide” are “1.The first classification includes those who kill themselves in order to hurt someone, get revenge, or who kill themselves out of hatred for someone else. According to Ritchie, these people haunt the living by being aware of every horrible consequence their suicide had on others.” This first classification means that people who commit suicide are usually trying to cause harm to others by taking their own life away. For example if your beloved husband cheats on you with a close friend, to get even with him you would kill yourself. That would bring great pain to him. The second classification is “2.The second classification includes those who, because of mental illness, confusion, or a terminal illness, take their own life. Ritchie states these people are allowed many opportunities from God to grow in love just as any other person would who had not committed suicide. In other words, there are no negative consequences for them.” This second classification means that people who sometimes commit suicide are not mentally stable and don’t really know what they are doing. The third classification states that, “3.The third classification includes those who kill themselves from drug, alcohol, or any other addiction. According to Ritchie, these people can become stuck in limbo trying in vain to satisfy their addiction until eventually something frees them. This condition is often called an earthbound condition.” This final classification states that people who commit suicide from some sort of addiction cannot control their action; they know they are committing harm to themselves so they just kill themselves.
Suicide most heavy root cause is depression and the ability of not being good enough. Society puts them in this position because suicide has stands we have to meet to be able to fit int. So if you don’t meet those standards you’re an “outcast” and outcasts aren’t good enough and never will be. People get overwhelmed when they don’t meet those stands because they are afraid of not being good enough, when in reality those standards are unrealistic and should not be the cause of people killing themselves.
